This report is an outline of <br /> investigative work proposed for the previous petroleum Underground Storage Tank <br /> (UST) location and for the solid waste burial and hazardous waste disposal areas on the <br /> above referenced property. A specific Work Plan for each of these different <br /> investigations should be submitted to PHS/EHD. <br /> The UST problem is being regulated by PHS/EHD under the Local Oversight Program <br /> (Site code: 18822) and has separate requirements than the hazardous and non hazardous <br /> waste problems on the property. Submit a Work Plan to determine the Iateral and vertical <br /> extent of contamination at the previous UST location at the above referenced site by <br /> April 2,_1999. <br /> In order for PHS/EHD to provide oversite for the investigation and remediation of <br /> miscellaneous hazardous waste contaminants at this site, a remedial action agreement <br /> would have to be entered into by PHSIEHD and they responsible party pursuant to <br /> Sections 101480 to 101490 of the Health& Safety Code (enclosed). As required by the <br /> law, prior to entering into a remedial action agreement PHS/EHD would provide written <br /> notification to the Department of Toxic Substance Control and Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board for their comment. <br /> This is a voluntary action by the responsible party. If you wish to proceed writh <br /> investigation of the released waste submit a Work Plan that includes historical <br /> information about the problem, any soil/water investigative data gathered to date, any <br /> hazardous waste disposal documents and a proposal to define the extent of the remaining <br /> hazardous waste contamination.
