Walgreens #12549, 2040 E Mariposa Rd, Stockton, CA Record ID PR0538446
6/17/2020 CUPA— Hazardous Waste
PHOTO# 4
Violation 106: According to Barbaro Ruan, the store manager, the items with open packages, or marked as a customer return or"1506", listed below, were
incorrectly placed in bins labeled for Return Center(RGM), Call-In, and Recall items, and should have been placed in the 1506 item bin. Return Center
(RGM), Call-In, and Recall items are sent to the Walgreens distribution center in Woodland, California, according to Barbaro. The 1506 item bin is
designated for non-saleable items, damaged items, returned items that cannot be re-sold, items with no bar codes/UPC, and expired items, as stated on
the 1506 item bin label. Based on my observations, conversation with Barbaro, and the information presented on the 4/27/20 Walgreens document
providing the process for handling and disposing unsaleable items, 1506 items appear to be hazardous wastes waiting to be removed from the facility
product inventory and given a hazardous waste category(e.g. Toxic, Ignitable, Reactive, etc).
- Ketostix Reagent Strips for Urinalysis - Sudafed Sinus Congestion 24 hour -Walgreens Blood Pressure Monitor
-Walgreens Ketone Test Strips -Wahl Mustache & Beard Battery Trimmer -Zephrex-D nasal decongestant softgels
-Aim gel toothpaste -Walgreens Muscus Relief D tablets - Mucinex- nasal decongestant tablets
e
f
ATT
Please place only the f0110wing items
in this bin.
Return Center MGM)
Call-Ins
Recalls
11414 other unsaleable merchandise is to
toe placed in the '13415 mins, or empty
package bin. Thank you.
Elianna Florido, REHS Page 4 of 22
