assess changes in groundwater levels and concentrations of TPH-D in groundwater at the <br /> Site <br /> 1 3 Scope of Work <br /> Monitoring activities conducted during the second quarter of 2000 included the following <br /> activities <br /> o Measurement of water levels in all seven monitoring wells on May 26, 2000, <br /> • Sampling of groundwater in seven monitoring wells (DMW-1 through DM-7), and <br /> • Analysis of groundwater samples for TPH-D with Northwest Cleanup Procedure <br /> 20 FIELD AND LABORATORY PROCEDURES <br /> This section provides a summary of the field and laboratory procedures used during the <br /> second quarter 2000 monitoring event <br /> 2 1 Sampling Methods And Procedures <br /> Groundwater samples were collected by URS/Dames & Moore on May 26, 2000 Field <br /> records of sampling are attached in Appendix A Prior to sampling, the static water level <br /> was measured at monitoring wells DMW-1 through DMW-7 using an electric water level <br /> indicator Groundwater samples were collected from all seven monitoring wells <br /> Groundwater sampling was conducted in accordance with procedures described in the <br /> Work Plan dated September 14, 1998 The sampled monitoring wells were purged using a <br /> submersible pump, which was steam cleaned prior to use The wells were purged until a <br /> minimum of three casing volumes were removed from each well, and until the <br /> field-measured temperature, pH, and specific conductivity stabilized Purged groundwater <br /> was temporarily stored in a polyethylene holding tank The wastewater was disposed into <br /> the American Molding and Mill Works sanitary sewer system in accordance with the <br /> Special Permit for Wastewater Discharge P 106 984 104, issued by the City of Stockton on <br /> March 10, 1999 <br /> Water samples were collected using disposable polyethylene bailers A new bailer was <br /> used at each well One duplicate groundwater sample (MW-70) was collected at DMW-7 <br /> The duplicate sample was collected in the same manner as the primary sample, following <br /> collection of the primary sample <br /> Dames&Moore 3 J 1AFPIREPORTIQ2-2000 DOC <br />
