r: DATA VALIDATION MEMO <br /> Folsom Boulevard,#200DAMES & MOORE Sacramento,CA 95826 <br /> +_ A DAMES 5 MOORE GROUP COMPANY Telephone-(916)387-8800 <br /> Fax-(9I6)387-0802 <br />' TO: Jack Kemp INFO: <br />' FROM: Sacramento QA/QC Group FILE: 15884-017-044 <br /> DATE: February 9, 2000 SITE: American Forest Products <br /> SUBJECT: Summary of Data Validation for Quanterra Project G9L210180 <br />' A check for data completeness (Completeness Check) was performed by the Sacramento QA/QC <br /> Group on Quanterra Project G9L210180 for the American Forest Products Project The report <br /> contains analytical data for eight aqueous samples DMW-1, DMW-2, DMW-3, DMW-4, <br /> DMW-5, DMW-6, DMW-7, and DMW-6D Samples DMW-6 and DMW-6D represent a field <br /> duplicate pair The samples were collected on December 20, 1999 and submitted to the <br /> laboratory for analysis of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons-Diesel with Northwest Cleanup (EPA <br />' 8015M) The laboratory report was received by the Sacramento QA/QC group on January 21, <br /> 2000 <br /> The data were reviewed in accordance with analytical methods outlined in EPA SW-846 The <br /> data were evaluated based on the following parameters <br /> M; ✓ Data Completeness <br /> ✓ Holding Times <br /> ✓ Blanks <br /> ✓ Surrogates <br /> ✓ Laboratory Control Samples <br /> ✓ Matrix Spike/Matnx Spike Duplicates <br /> ✓ Field Duplicates <br /> ✓ Compound Identification and Quantification <br />' The following presents an overview of the Completeness Check <br /> • All analyses were performed as per the chain-of-custody records <br /> • Due to method blank and sample contamination (unknown hydrocarbons), all samples <br /> were re-extracted and re-analyzed No contaminants were observed in the method blank <br /> associated with the re-extracted samples Since all samples were re-extracted out of <br /> holding times, the reported results detection limits are considered estimated No <br /> detectable concentrations of hydrocarbons were reported to be present in re-extractions of <br /> samples MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, and MW-5 <br /> • Although the matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate analysis was requested on sample <br />' MW-7, a matrix spike/matrix spike duplicate analysis was not performed along with the <br /> re-extracted samples Consequently, an assessment of matrix affects cannot be made <br /> ti All LCS recoveries met QC criteria <br /> A 1Sacva108 722 <br />
