3 0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> This document reviews the technical and economic feasibility of implementing additional <br /> actions (including no-action) at the site. A description of each alternative is provided, and a <br /> preliminary screening of alternatives is developed based on effectiveness, relative costs, and <br /> administrative feasibility <br /> Several remedial options are evaluated on a preliminary estimate of cost and non-cost factors <br /> The cost factors include present worth of capital and operational and maintenance costs The non- <br /> cost factors include the effectiveness of the technology, reliability, and safety to remediation workers, <br /> other workers at the site, and the general public Other factors including disruption of site business <br /> activities during construction, operation and monitoring activities are also considered The cost and <br /> non-cost factors are evaluated with a numerical ranking system, in order to identify the most feasible <br /> remedial alternative for the site <br /> The results of this evaluation are discussed in relation to the previous feasibility study (Dames <br /> & Moore, July 1988), regulatory review comments, and remedial actions completed to date <br /> Recommendations regarding further actions at the site are also addressed <br /> I <br /> �1 <br /> sAC127 10 4 <br /> DAMES 5z MOORE <br />
