the California Department of Health Services was used as the applicable relevant and appropriate agency <br />' regulation for drinking water <br /> The Feasibility Study portion of this work included a review of remedial action alternatives for <br />' impacted soil included on and off site treatment or disposal as well as a no action alternative Due to the <br /> presence of the maintenance shop, alternatives included removing the shop and excavating all soils above <br />' the cleanup level, as well as alternatives which would leave the shop in place and excavating accessible <br /> soils <br />' The alternatives were as follows <br /> • Alternative #1 - No Action (Limited Action) <br /> • Alternative #2 - Capping with Groundwater Monitoring <br /> • Alternative#3 -Demolish Shop, Excavate soils with TPH Concentrations > 1000 mg/kg, <br /> Landfarm Contaminated Soils on site <br /> • Alternative #4 - Demolish Shop, Excavate soils with TPH Concentrations > 1000 ppm, <br /> Dispose at Class I Landfill <br /> • Alternative #S - Reinforce Shop Foundation, Excavate Accessible Soils with TPH <br /> concentrations > 1000 ppm, Landfarm Contaminated Soils on site <br />' • Alternative #6 - Reinforce Shop Foundation, Excavation of Accessible Soils with TPH <br /> Concentrations > 1000 ppm, Dispose at Class I Landfill <br /> • Alternative #7 - Demolish Shop, Excavate All Soils with TPH concentrations > 10,000 <br /> ppm Landfarm Contaminated Soils on site <br />' • Alternative#8 -Demolish Shop, Excavate Soils with TPH concentrations > 10,000 ppm, <br /> Dispose at Class I Landfill <br />' • Alternative #9 - Reinforce Shop Foundation, Excavate Accessible Soils with TPH <br /> concentrations > 10,000 ppm Landfarm Contaminated Soils on site <br />' • Alternative #10 - Reinforce Shop, Excavation of Accessible Soils with TPH <br /> concentrations > 10,000 ppm, Dispose at Class I Landfill <br />' Based on the California Department of Health Services Site Mitigation Decision Tree Manual <br /> (1986) the effectiveness, implementability, regulatory precedent, and risk to biologic receptors were <br /> considered Alternative #7 which included demolishing the shop, excavating all soils with TPH <br /> concentrations greater than 10,000 mglkg TPH/D and landfarming of the contaminated soils on site was <br /> SAC36 046 7 <br />
