CLOSURE REQUEST REPORT Section No 4 0
Former Amencan Forest Products Company 07/31/01
2801 West Lane Page 4-1
Stockton,California
16
4.0 RWQCB APPENDIX B CHECKLIST
Section 4 0 presents the completed closure request checklist from the Tri-Regional Board Staff
Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites Appendix B
This section is organized into sixteen subsections presented in the same order as the sixteen items in the
request, the request item is in bold type and a response is provided below the item
1. Distance to production wells for municipal, domestic, agriculture, industry and other uses
within 2,000 feet of the site.
One do stir water-supply well was identified within a 2,000-foot radius of the site, as discussed in
rnearest
2 2 and summarized in Appendix A The well is located upgradient of the site, to the south The
reported drinking water well downgradient of the site appears to be located approximately 3,500
the north, and is screened in the deeper, semi-confined aquifer
Sri 2. Site maps, to scale,of area impacted showing locations of former and existing tank systems,
7 excavation contours and sample locations, borings and monitoring wells, groundwater
gradients, and nearby surface waters, buildings, streets, and subsurface utilities.
&aps
have been produced for this site as part of the initial site investigations and on-going groundwater
smonitoring Applicable figures are included in this report, with the exception of subsurface utility maps
3. Figures depicting hthology (cross-sections),treatment system diagrams.
Geological cross-sections were constructed based on the results of soil borings, and are presented in
Figures 5 and 6 A treatment system is not installed at the site
4. Stockpiled soil remaining on-site or off-site disposal.
Approximately 2,050 cubic yards of soil was removed and transferred to an on-site biotreatment cell in
1990 The soil was treated according to the remediation work plan until concentrations declined enough
to meet the requirements for off-site disposal in a Class II landfill Soil cuttings from monitoring well
installation, soil boring, and exploratory boring activities were contained in drums, transported under
manifest, and disposed
5. Mom tormg wells remaining on-site,fate.
Seven monitoring wells exist at the site If "No Further Action" is required at the site, all seven
monitoring wells will be destroyed in compliance with state and county regulations
b. Tabulated data of all groundwater elevations and depth to water.
Tabulated groundwater elevations and depth to water for the site are presented in Table 2 This table
includes data collected from August 1990 to March 2001
I
7. Tabulated results of all sampling and analyses, including detection limits for confirmation
sampling and lead analyses.
K 1840191afp1afp_c1osure_rpt doc
