the pavement on bank property and indicated on the curbs on
public property.
The locations of the interpreted anomalies are referenced to
the survey grid painted on the pavement. Accuracy of anomaly
locations with the equipment used in this survey is +/- 2 feet
with respect to the painted survey grid.
Most of the buried utility lines could be identified as to type
through association with surface features and are labeled on
the figures. A few, which may not be currently active are not
labeled and are queried.
No GPR or EM anomalies of the type normally associated with
buried metal tanks were noted in any of the areas that were
surveyed.
Comments Regarding Monitoring Well Locations
MW-1 (Figure 2 ) is in a driveway area and should not present
any access problems. The buried lines in the vicinity are most
likely electrical and water service to planters.
1
MW-2 (Figure 3) is at the edge of a planter near the corner. A
roof overhangs most of the planter area and there is a buried
water line just to the north of the proposed location (both are
1 painted on the ground) . In the planter there are irrigation
lines. The painted location is in the driveway. If necessary
it could be moved a few feet to the east (but not to the north)
into the planter but access may be more difficult because of
l the traffic signal pole and bank sign.
MW-3 (Figure 4 ) is along the rear fence just south of the
parking bumpers. Electrical service to the building comes off
. the pole, probably as line 2 on Figure 4 . The location shown
on Figure 1 is close to buried electrical lines. An alternate
location, MW-3A was also chosen and would be preferred unless
there is a specific reason for being exactly at the proposed
location.
Summary
A geophysical survey was conducted over portions of the Wells
Fargo Bank property for the purpose of clearing proposed
monitoring well locations and identifying buried metal tanks
(if any) remaining from previous site operations.
Monitoring well locations were selected and painted on the
pavement. Nearby buried utility lines were also marked on the
pavement . Since all of the proposed locations are near
existing utilities or other anomalies they should not be moved
without prior data review by us . As a precaution all borings
should be advance by hand auger for the first five feet.
1
3
I ,
