We tested three versions (as we've varied the basic formula in a couple of instances). We tested the standard formula (the fixative). We add phenol at a concentration of 1%to 2%for cow and sheep specimens so we tested that version (not a variation in the formula, but with an additive, phenol). We add some nonhazardous humectants to the shipping fluid, so we tested that as well. We chose to send the test documents. They do not reveal any confidential business information, and we would be pleased that this be shared with CUPA agencies throughout the state as you see fit. Is it possible for you to send me an updated SDS or the lab results? This solution has been a concern with different CUPAs (hazardous waste inspectors) across the state.
