Thank you for sharing the results with the CUPA. This will help in regulating schools and other labs. I was also wondering
if you could send me the SDSs for the three solutions that were tested? This way we could match the actual product
name with the tests. I do know that the SDSs are listed on the website. Only three SDSs come up in the search bar: -
Carolina's Perfect Solution, Specimen in Carolina's Perfect Solution, and Specimens in Carolina's Perfect Solution.
Anything you could provide would be helpful.
Thank You,
John Alaniz
REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-3147
Fax: (209) 468-3433
Please note, my email address has changed to jalanizl@sigov.org.
From: Keith Barker [mailto:Keith.Barker@carolina.com]
Sent:Tuesday,June 11, 2019 7:29 AM
To:Alaniz,John <lalanizl@slgov.org>
Cc: Charles Lucero<CLucero@stocktonusd.net>
Subject: RE: Carolina's Perfect Solution—Fish Bioassay_San Joaquin County EHD_CA
Hello John,
I am sending with this e-mail the test documents from Aquatic Testing Labs.
We tested three versions (as we've varied the basic formula in a couple of instances). We tested the standard formula
(the fixative). We add phenol at a concentration of 1%to 2%for cow and sheep specimens so we tested that version
(not a variation in the formula, but with an additive, phenol). We add some nonhazardous humectants to the shipping
fluid, so we tested that as well.
We chose to send the test documents. They do not reveal any confidential business information, and we would be
pleased that this be shared with CUPA agencies throughout the state as you see fit.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or needs. Thank you in advance for making these results available.
Sincerely,
Keith E.
