The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for Aquiles Auto Body & Repair as of October15, 2019. Open violations from August 26, 2019 inspection Violation #102 - Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. OBSERVATIONS One 5 gallon bucket with used absorbent found in the back of the shop. REGULATION: Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste as specified in Title 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR). There are wastes that are listed as hazardous wastes. There are wastes that exhibit one or more of the hazardous waste characteristics: toxic, corrosive, reactive or ignitable. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for used absorbent , and manage it according to Title 22 CCR. Use Safety Data Sheets (SDS), waste sampling and test results or other knowledge to support your hazardous waste determination. Waste testing must be done using methods specified in Title 22 CCR including sections 66261.20-24. Submit a statement and supporting documentation with your hazardous waste determination. Demonstrate current storage and labeling for wastes determined to be hazardous wastes. Provide disposal records for wastes determined to be hazardous wastes and stored longer than the number of days specified in Title 22 CCR for your hazardous waste generator status. ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Violation #110- Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. OBSERVATION Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of used oil, used oil filters and used antifreeze from August 26th 2016 to 2019 were not found on site. Note: Owner states that he disposes used metal oil filters and used paper oil filters as hazardous waste. REGULATION: Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for used oil and used antifreeze from August 26th 2016 to 2019, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Page 1 of 4
