Washington, Stockton, site. The changes to the ori-
ginal work plan include discrete rather than composite sampling for surface
soils, additional soil sampling in the area where storage containers are
located (at the southern boundary of the property) , and drilling of an addi-
tional groundwater monitoring well and soil boring adjacent to a suspected
second underground fuel storage tank. The approximate locatio.n of this well
and boring is shown on the attached figure. Drilling, construction, and sam-
pling for this well will be performed as described in the original Work Plan.
Changes in the Work Plan were made to incorporate comments from the Department
of Health Services and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board. Additional information was obtained about the possible presence of a
second underground storage tank. In addition, information recently supplied
to us about the contents of the storage containers has prompted us to collect
additional samples and analyses near this area.
Should you have any questions concerning the amended Work Plan, please call
me.
Very truly yours,
KENNEDY/JENKS/CHILTON
Mark S. Dockum, R.G.
Project Geologist
Attachment
cc: Mr. Ed James, Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board,
Sacramento
Mr. Bill Kilgore, Department of Health Services, Toxic Substances Control
Division, Sacramento
