Kennedy/Jiiiin-'s"u I t a n t s <br /> " nftlb Md Scientists <br /> 3336 Bradshaw Road Suite 140 <br /> Sacramento California 95827 <br /> 916 362 3251 <br /> 17 September 1993 FAX 916 362 9915 <br /> Ms Diane M Hinson, REHS <br /> Public Health Services <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject Groundwater Sampling Results <br /> Cal-Farm Supply - Stockton Facility <br /> K/J 922540 00 <br /> Dear Ms Hinson <br /> This letter transmits the results of laboratory analyses performed on groundwater samples <br /> collected from two monitoring wells (MW-1 and MW-5) located at the Cal-Farm Supply - <br /> Stockton Facility We have also provided a proposed approach for the next phase of this <br /> . project <br /> 30 AUGUST 1993 GROUNDWATER SAMPLING EVENT <br /> Groundwater samples were collected, from monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-5, on 30 <br /> August 1993 by a Kennedy/Jenks Consultants geologist This work was conducted in <br /> accordance with our telephone conversation of 3 June 1993 Prior to sampling, <br /> groundwater elevations were measured for each onsite monitoring well and recorded <br /> Results of the elevations measurements were used to calculate the groundwater flow <br /> direction At the time of this sampling event, groundwater flow was westerly The <br /> groundwater flow direction has shifted from the northerly direction previously calculated <br /> during the last sampling event Table 1 provides historic and current recorded <br /> groundwater elevations <br /> Prior to sampling each well, the wells were purged using Teflon bailers Groundwater <br /> samples were collected using a disposable baiter dedicated for each well During sampling, <br /> the pH, conductivity and volume of water purged from each well was monitored and <br /> recorded This information is included in the attached Groundwater Purge and Sample <br /> Forms The purge water from each well was collected in the 55-gallon drums already on <br /> the site The collected groundwater samples were transported in a chilled ice-chest with a <br /> Chain-of-Custody form to the Anlab Analytical Laboratory in Sacramento, California The <br /> samples were analyzed for the presence of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as both gasoline <br /> (TPH-G) and diesel fuel (TPH-D) using modified EPA Method 8015 as agreed to during our <br /> telephone conversation of 3 June 1993 <br /> 93_o2A <br />
