SECTION 4 Year 6 Tree Monitoring Results This section provides the results of the Year 6(2012) tree monitoring event. Monitoringwas performed on November 13,2012.The Year 6 (2012) tree monitoring results are presented below for each of the six tree planting sub areas. A tabular summary of tree survivorship and health and vigor data for Year 6 (2012) is provided in the table in Appendix A. A comparison of health and vigor and tree survivorship rates for Years 2007,2008,2009,2010, 2011, and 2012 is presented in Tables 4-1 and 4-2. For details on 2007,2008,2009,2010,and 2011 tree survivorship and health and vigor ranks by planting sub area,refer to the Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4,and Year 5 Phytoremediation Tree Monitoring Reports for the Source Area at the SFPP, L.P. Holt Release Site,Holt, California (CH2M HILL 2008a,2008b,2010a,2010b, and 2011). Photographs of all planting sub areas were obtained during the annual tree-monitoring field visit to document tree system health and performance and are provided in Appendix B. For comparison,Appendix C contains photographs of site conditions prior to improvements in 2001 and of the planting areas during 2006 and 2007. The approximate location of the three planting zones is depicted in Figure 1-3. The location of the six tree planting sub areas is shown in Figure 1-4.
