tSECTION 1 Introduction This tree monitoring report was prepared by CH2M HILL on behalf of SFPP,L.P.,an operating partnership of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (SFPP) for submittal to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB). This report documents the results of the sixth year (Year 6) of tree monitoring performed following installation of the phytoremediation system at the SFPP Holt Release Site (Site). iThe phytoremediation system was installed in two phases,January/February 2005 and April/May 2006,in accordance with the following cleanup plan that was conditionally approved by the RWQCB in an October 5,2004 letter to SFPP: Cleanup Plan Using Phytoremediation for the Source Area at the SFPP, L.P. Holt Release Site, Holt, California (CH2M HILL,2004) (Phytoremediation Cleanup Plan). As-built conditions of the two phytoremediation system installation phases are documented in the following two reports that were submitted to the RWQCB: (1) Phytoremediation As-Built Report for the Source Area at the SFPP, L.P. Holt Release Site, Holt, California (CH2M HILL,2005) and (2) Phytoremediation As-Built Report, Construction Season 2,for the Source Area at the SFPP, L.P. Holt Release Site,Holt, California (CH2M HILL,2007). Tree Monitoring results for Years 1 through 5 were reported in the Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, and Year 5 Pliytoremediation Tree Monitoring Reports for the Source Area at t1w SFPP, L.P. Holt Release Site,Holt, California (CH2M HILL 2008a,2008b,2010a,2010b, and 2011). This tree monitoring report provides the following: • Section 2-Overview of the phytoremediation system • Section 3-Tree system monitoring methodology • Section 4-Year 6 tree system monitoring results • Section 5 -Summary and recommendations from the Year 6 monitoring results IThe location of the Site is shown in Figure 1-1.The Site and vicinity are shown in the aerial photograph in Figure 1-2. The tree phytoremediation planting layout that was originally proposed is shown in Figure 1-3. The actual planting layout representing the as-built condition is depicted in Figure 1-4. Irrigation details are presented in Figure 1-5.
