The intent of this Chapter Is to specify the minimum regulations for the use of <br /> water wells. <br /> I ' <br /> Section 9-1115.2 Public Water System Connection Requires!. Private, on-site domestic water wells <br /> shall not be approved where public water systems are available pursuant to Chapter 9-1120. <br /> i.� <br /> Section 9-1115.3 Well Permit Required. A Well Permit shall be aby the Director of the i <br /> Environmental Health Division prior to digging, drilling, boring, driving, �rpprovecl <br /> epairing, or destroying any well; <br /> or repairing, replacing, Installing, or sealing a pump for use on any well. The permit is required whether <br /> the well is to be used for domestic, irrigation,testing, geophysical;seismic,subsurface boring, monitoring, <br /> injection, extraction, vapor probe, cathodic protection, or other purposes. A permit is not necessary to <br /> replace or repair equipment if the sanitary seal is not broken. <br /> !i <br /> Section 9.1115.4 Well_Permit Requirements. Well Permits shall be subject to the following <br /> r requirements: N <br /> (a) Requirements for Application. Applications for Well Pil rmits must be initiated by a well <br /> driller licensed by the State of California Applications shall be filed with the <br /> Environmental Health Division.
