Recommendation: <br /> In May 2008, the Fund recommends that the San Joaquin County LOP direct the <br /> Responsible Party to assess remedial groundwater technologies and implement <br /> active remediation to achieve Water Quality Objectives in a timely manner. The <br /> Fund will review this site next year to track progress. <br /> UPDATED, May 2009, the Fund continues to recommend that the San Joaquin <br /> County LOP direct the Responsible Party to assess remedial groundwater <br /> technologies and implement active remediation to achieve Water Quality <br /> Objectives in a timely manner. The Fund will review this site next year to track <br /> progress. <br /> UPDATED, May 2010, by letter on 4 May 2010, the San Joaquin County LOP <br /> approved a groundwater extraction pilot study. The Fund concurs and will review <br /> this site next year to track progress. <br /> UPDATED, May 2011, this retail gasoline station remains active and is <br /> completely paved. The Responsible Party concluded that residual hydrocarbons <br /> do not threaten public health or the environment and estimates water quality <br /> objectives will be achieved in less than ten years. Remaining groundwater <br /> contamination is confined to the source area and the nearest municipal water <br /> well is greater than 1,000 feet from the site.
