Wilson Way APN: 117-310-01
Stockton, CA 95205 Geotracker ID#: T0607700132
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Work Plan for
Soil Vapor Survey and Health Risk Assessment (Plan), dated February 14, 2011, which had
been submitted to Geotracker. The Plan was included in Letter of Intent/Request for Low Risk
Closure, also dated February 14, 2011.
The Plan details the installation of shallow soil gas sampling probes on site in preparation of a
vapor intrusion evaluation required for underground storage tank site closure and proposes five
foot deep push points, sampling, and on-site mobile laboratory analyses for gasoline range
organics, volatile organics and fuel oxygenates. The probes are proposed to be destroyed by
removing the 0.125-inch Teflon tubing and sealing the surface of the probe with concrete.
The Plan is adequate and necessary and approved with the following changes. [H&S
25296.10(c)(3)]:
• Destruction of the probes requires the removal of all materials introduced into the push
point and is to be done on the same day installed. The micro-porous screen, the sand
pack, and the bentonite granules are to be removed and the hole filled with neat cement
grout. A concrete patch may be applied to the surface to match conditions.
• Submit a Well Permit Application and $488 fee by May 16, 2011.
If you have any questions, please contact Michael Infurna at (209)468-3454.
Z5'/Michael J.
