JOB DESCRIPTIONS <br /> Competent Person <br /> Competent person shall be a member of the management staff, preferably the Safety Manager. Schuff <br /> Steel, Stockton has identified Competent Person who has received Schuff Steel Corporate Environmental <br /> Compliance Training. Competent Person is capable of identifying risks associated with facility hazardous <br /> waste management. Competent Person will receive Schuff Steel Corporate Environmental Compliance <br /> Training within 90 days of hire and every three years thereafter.At minimum Schuff Steel Corporate <br /> Environmental Compliance Training shall include; <br /> i.) SPCC Regulatory Applicability <br /> ii.) Best Management Practices for oil handling and storage <br /> iii.) Inspection procedure <br /> iv.) Internal & External notification procedure <br /> V.) Emergency response procedure <br /> Responsibilities <br /> The Competent person shall be responsible for the management of the Environmental Compliance <br /> Program.They shall conduct required inspections and employee training.Additionally,they shall ensure <br /> that all HAZWASTE is properly labeled, stored and handled within applicable regulations. <br /> Shop Employee <br /> A Shop Employees is defined as any hourly employee that works at the Stockton shop, this includes <br /> Crane Operators, Custodian, Expeditor, Fitters, Forklift Operator, Heavy Machine Operators, <br /> Maintenance Person, Production Helpers, Quality Control Inspector, Riggers,Tool Room Attendant, <br /> Utility Yardman and Welders. <br /> At any time, any shop employee may be required to sweep the floor or assist in any other area that <br /> would potentially require them to come into contact with hazardous materials. Schuff Steel, Stockton <br /> shall provide general Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure Awareness training to all shop <br /> employees.At minimum this training shall include; <br /> i.) SPCC Regulatory Applicability <br /> ii.) Best Management Practices for Oil handling and storage <br /> iii.) Spill containment procedure <br /> iv.) Minor oil spill clean-up procedure <br /> V.) Internal notification procedure <br /> Shop Employee Responsibilities <br /> 1. Must observe all safety rules and practices. This includes company rules, as well as local, state and <br /> federal safety regulations. <br /> 2. Proper identification, packing, labeling, and storing all wastes in accordance with established <br /> guidelines. <br /> 3. Wear all required PPE. <br /> 4. Report any spills or other hazardous conditions to Plant Management at once. <br />
