Box 808 (L-293} <br />Livermore, CA 94551 <br />(925) 423-4339 <br />3.0 PREPAREDNESS AND PREVENTION <br />3.1 Facility Design <br />Site 300 Facilities have been located, designed, and constructed to minimize the risk of <br />hazardous waste incidents. The Location of each Facility at Site 300 is shown on the Site Map <br />(Figure 1). Facility descriptions, operations, layout, location of emergency equipment, and <br />evacuation routes for individual Facilities are shown in the Figures included in Appendices I4, <br />I-2, I-3 and 14. <br />3.2 Procedural Controls <br />Operations at the Facilities are conducted using approved work control documents and within the <br />framework of the Facility permits. The documents are used as training tools for Facility <br />operations and are easily accessible to Facility personnel. Each document contains: <br />• A description of an anticipated activity and its hazards and risks. <br />• The name of the individual responsible for ensuring compliance with the work control <br />A <br />ocument. <br />• Instructions to be followed to implement the controls that will reduce the risks to an <br />acceptable level. <br />• Information concern <br />ing any special conditions that may be present. <br />3.3 Evaluations and Audits <br />'LN <br />L Site 300 Contingency Plan 10 January 2019 <br />
