Jason,
The water in the OWS was from their process but we found no detectable concentrations (see attached
data).
I do not believe they use any type of"petroleum" in their process.
The water actually looks to be rain water from all the winter storms. The algae really likes the
environment !!!
We also grabbed a sample of the water located in the cooling tower basin but only analyzed for metals
as we would not expect hydrocarbons or vocs. We usually see metals from treated wood in power
plants but this unit did not have treated wood and metals were ND and the water also seemed to be
rainwater and not process water.
Sincerely,
John Farmer
Corporate Technical Advisor
1502 E.Opp Street
Wilmington,CA 90744
Cell(714)307-4322
Office(310)522-1168
Email (farmer@americaninteerated.com
From: Gaitan,Jason [mailto:igaitan@sigov.org]
Sent:Thursday, August 08, 2019 4:05 PM
To: 'Ledbetter, Kathleen' <kledbetter@Ibarealty.com>; John Farmer
<jfarmer@americaninterated.com>
Cc:Saeed, Haza <hsaeed@sigov.org>
Subject: RE: EXTERNAL: FW: HMBP Re-Inspection Report for 14800 W SCHULTE RD,TRACY, CA 95377
Hi Kathleen and John,
Wanted to ask what the clarifier water was? Is it the water from the oil/water separator found at the
site or is it from another source?
Since it was mentioned that the water was tested, can you please provide the analytical results for the
water as well.
Thank you for the updates.
Have a great day,
JASON GAITAN
EHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E.Hazelton Ave.Stockton,CA95205
(209)561-7298
(209)468-9848
9
