Based upon 100 people and assuming one person per vehicle with two <br /> trips per person,the tournaments would generate approximately 200 daily trips. It is likely that 100 trips <br /> would be generated in each of the hours preceding and after a tournament. <br /> In general, weekend traffic volumes on the primary roads surrounding the project are lower than <br /> weekdays during the peak hours. The 100 tournament trips during each of the two hours are higher than <br /> the weekday trip totals for the project, but the lower intersection volumes compensate for the added <br /> tournament trips. Therefore, the weekend tournament trips would not have a significant impact on the <br /> studied intersections.
