M E M O R A N D U M <br /> From: Joan Villa, Tribal Administrator <br /> Ione Band of Miwok Indians <br /> To: San Joaquin County <br /> Planning Department <br /> Date: January 14, 1992 <br /> Re: Proposed mitigation measures for Buckeye Ranch <br /> 1 . The Tribe- will not permit removal of any burials on <br /> site for any purpose. <br /> 2 . The Tribe will not permit sterile soil to be placed <br /> over any burial area for any purpose. <br /> 3 . The Tribe will require a complete archaeological and <br /> ethnographic study of the region for purposes of <br /> historically documenting the history of the Tribe and the <br /> region. <br /> 4 . The Tribe will require members or persons authorized <br /> by resolution of the Tribe to be present during all stages <br /> of Construction. <br /> 5 . The Tribe will assist in hiring and approve any and <br /> all archaeologists and ethnographers to do the studies and <br /> moncriting of the project. No persons will be allowed to <br /> participate in the studies without resolved approval of <br /> the Tribe for any purpose. <br /> 6 . The Tribe will require a Memorandum of Agreement as <br /> required by the Act. <br /> 7 . The developer will bare all expenses mentioned above <br /> including the development of the Memorandum of Agreement. <br /> Additional mitigation measures may be necessary. <br />
