These four <br /> samples represent the highest phosphates , are alkaline, contain <br /> carbonates and tend to have a grayish cast , when dry, to their <br /> dark brown color. It is quite clear that the samples taken from <br /> Lot 21 and adjacent to it are from non archaeological deposits. <br /> The= samples taken from YY <br /> carbonatesresent aleached awayaandohasareturnedwhich <br /> anas PH similar to the <br /> surrounding soils .
