t
LOWRY &. ASSOCIATES
Page 9
August 17, 1990
L & a No. 90-190
Materials quality and construction within the structural section should conform to the
applicable provisions of the Caltrans "Standard Specifications" (January 1988).
Where drop inlets or other surface drainage devices are to be installed, we recommend
that slots or weep holes be provided at the base course level to allow free drainage of
any subsurface water.
LIMITATIONS
The recommendations of this report are based upon the information provided regarding
the proposed improvements as well as the subsurface conditions encountered at the test
boring locations. If construction concepts or structural loads change from those stated in
this report, or if it is found during construction that subsurface conditions differ from
those described on the boring logs, then the conclusions and recommendations hereabove
shall be considered invalid, unless the changes are reviewed and the conclusions and
recommendations approved in writing.
It is recommended that our firm be accorded the opportunity to review the final plans
and specifications to determine if the recommendations of this report have been
implemented in those documents. The recommendations of this report are contingent
upon this provision, and the results of our review will be acknowledged in writing.
We emphasize that this report is applicable only to the proposed construction, as
described herein, and should not be utilized for design and/or construction on any other
site.
LOWRY & associates
44 6. sA-:,-
L JEFF O.
