ER-91-2
NOP
PAGE 4
the airborne application of various herbicides and fumigants from
adjacent agricultural operations, as well as, existing vineyards
on the southeastern portion of the site.
Police and Fire Protection:
There will be an increased demand on the Galt School District, as
well as increased demand for police and fire protection.
Air Quality:
There are not significant air quality impacts anticipated as a
result of the addition of 26 residences in the area. There may,
however, be significant air quality impacts associated with the
Quarry Excavation activities. Dust created during quarry
operations and project construction may also adversely impact
adjacent vineyards.
Noise•
Project residents will be exposed to noise from surrounding
agricultural operations. There may also be noise related impacts
to residents of the area during the quarry activities .
Cultural Resources:
Several archeological sites have been identified on the tentative
map. There is also the potential that others may exist on site,
particularly in the areas around Tracy Lake and among the oak
trees. There may be a potentially significant impact on these
sites during the quarry activities and during project construction.
Traffic•
Significant adverse traffic related impacts are not expected as a
result of the subdivision. There may, however, be significant
traffic impacts associated with the quarry excavation.
The applicants area also considering having a portion of Forest
Lake Road abandoned from the projects entrance gate to the western
terminous of Forest Lake Road. Abandoning this portion of Forest
Lake Road may impact parcel access to properties west of the site.
Land Use•
Development of the site as proposed may serve as the impetus for
additional future requests for rural residential development in the
area, as well as for commercially designated land to meet the needs
