' 10 INTRODUCTION
On behalf of Union Pacific Railroad Company (UPRR), Environmental
Resources Management (ERM) has prepared this Site Closure Report (Closure
Report) for the former underground fuel storage tank (UST) site at 936 East
Weber Avenue, in Stockton, California (site) (Figure 1) The tank reportedly
' contained unleaded gasoline and analytical results indicate the absence of
diesel fuel hydrocarbons ERM has previously discussed site closure with the
San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division
' (PHS/EHD) During these discussions, the PHS/EHD agreed that this site
was a good candidate for closure based on the extensive ground water
' sampling completed without the observance of significant concentrations of
contaminants of concern This report has been prepared to summarize the
site data, to satisfy the applicable requirements of the PHS/EHD checklist of
required data for closure of UST sites, and to formally request site closure
' 1.1 DOCUMENT ORGANIZATION
' This document is organized as follows
® The remainder of Section 10 provides general site background
including site location, geologic setting, and ground water hydrology,
• Section 2 0 summarizes the findings of subsurface investigations at the
site,
' • Section 3 0 discusses the risk and future beneficial uses of the site,
• Section 4 0 discusses future well abandonment, and
' 0 Section 5 0 presents references cited or relied upon in preparing this
document
' As required by Item #2 of the required data for PHS EHD checklist of re
/ q
closure of UST sites, site maps showing locations of the former UST
' system, boring and monitoring well locations, ground water elevation
contours, and geologic cross sections are presented in Figures 1 through 6,
' following the text
As required by Items #6 and 7 of the PHS/EHD checklist, tabulated
results of all sampling and analyses and all ground water elevation data
. are contained within Tables 1 through 3, following the text
IERNI 1 934350/13PRR/02/13/03
