r <br /> 2.0 SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES AT THE SITE <br /> r <br /> Tlus section summarizes the fieldwork completed at the former UST <br /> location of the 936 East Weber Avenue site <br /> 21 SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES <br /> The following activities were completed at the former UST location <br /> • Removal of a 1,000-gallon fuel UST in 1979 by the W W Vernon <br /> Company <br /> • A Phase II Investigation conducted by Wright Environmental Services, <br /> Inc (WES) in October 1997, including the advancement of soil borings <br /> B-2, B-3, and B-4 in the vicinity of the former UST <br /> • A soil and ground water characterization conducted by ERM in May <br /> 1998, which included the advancement of soil borings B-5 and B-6, and <br /> collection of two grab ground water samples in the vicinity of the <br /> former tank location <br /> ® An additional soil and ground water characterization by ERM in April <br /> 1999 This characterization included installation of monitoring wells <br /> MW-1 through MW-3 <br /> s Quarterly monitoring of ground water chemical quality between <br /> March 2000 and November 2001 by ERM <br /> These activities are described in the following sections Table 2 presents all <br /> soil sampling data generated during site investigations Table 3 presents all <br /> ground water data generated from site monitoring wells <br /> 2.2 TANK REMOVAL <br /> The W W Vernon Company removed the 1,000-gallon fuel UST from the <br /> site in August 1979 The tank was reported to be of single-walled steel <br /> construction The condition of the tank during removal is unknown At the <br /> time of removal, the contents were reported to be unleaded gasoline fuel <br /> r <br /> r <br /> ERM 4 9343 50/UPRR/07/1i/oz <br />
