A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose <br /> of,transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go to the DTSC <br /> web site http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/IDManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to reactivate the ID number. Immediately <br /> reactivate your state ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> In the shop area, metal fines are generated and collected without disposing of them.The facility is not sure how to <br /> dispose of the waste. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the waste and manage it according to Title 22 hazardous <br /> waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined <br /> to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how the metal fines are <br /> going to be managed. <br /> The following items were observed on the south side of the yard area: <br /> -Eight rusted one pint paint cans <br /> -One rusted 55 gallon steel drum containing rainwater, absorbent, and other material <br /> -Three blue 55 gallon poly drums containing an unknown material <br /> -Two blue and four white 30 gallon poly drums containing an unknown material <br /> -One white 16 gallon poly drum containing an unknown material <br /> -Five 5 gallon plastic buckets containing an unknown material <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a <br /> hazardous waste determination for the items listed above and manage them according the Title 22 hazardous waste <br /> regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how each item was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)No modified contingency plan. <br /> The contingency plan was out of date.
