YRC PETROLEUM PRODUCT <br /> SPILL REPORTING PROCEDURES GUIDE <br /> For all petroleum incidents that involve spills on owned or leased property, or a linehaul or city tractor accident, <br /> the incident is to be reported as explained below . Examples of petroleum spills include diesel fuel, all vehicle <br /> fluids and waste oil . <br /> Petroleum Incidents or Spills Relating to Storage Tanks : <br /> If a petroleum incident or spill involves underground or aboveground storage tanks and/or saddle tanks , the <br /> incident is to the handled as explained below . <br /> • If the spill occurs at a YRCW service center, IMMEDIATELY UPON DISCOVERY, take steps to stop and contain <br /> the spill using absorbent material, absorbent booms and pads if it can be performed safely . If the spill is <br /> contained and no product was release down drains, into bodies of water or off the property, then complete <br /> a Petroleum Product Discharge Report and fax it immediately to the KCGO Environmental Services Dept . <br /> FAX @ 913 -344-3614 . If the spill is not contained , immediately contact the YRCW Chemical Helpline and an <br /> emergency response contractor will be dispatched to the service center. <br /> . If the spill occurs on -the - road , IMMEDIATELY UPON DISCOVERY, contact the YRCW Chemical Helpline and <br /> an emergency response contractor will be dispatched to the scene . <br /> ( 800) 395 -5446 <br /> Chemical Help Line or <br /> ( 913 ) 344-5446 — Option 1, Emergency <br /> i <br /> It is very important to report un-controlled spills to the YRCW Chemical Help Line as their personnel will prepare the <br /> incident reports and will also be responsible for reporting the spill to the appropriate regulatory agencies as <br /> required.
