. i <br /> Phase I Environmental Site Assessment <br /> City of Stockton Multi-Modal Station/Shopping Center <br /> Page 22 <br /> Plan/Chemical Inventories for all site properties, all immediately adjoining properties, and all properties <br /> a across the street from the site The OES has Hazardous Material Management Plan/Chemical Inventories <br /> for two on-site properties (815 and 931 E Weber Avenue) and one off-site property (1000 E Channel <br /> Street) Condor reviewed all three Hazardous Material Management Plan/Chemical Inventories <br /> Chemicals of concern that were noted in the inventories are hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, <br /> hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, antifreeze, oils, kerosene, waste oil, and solvents No extremely <br /> hazardous substances were noted as being located on the properties <br /> 4 <br /> 4.3 PHYSICAL SETTING SOURCES <br /> The source used for determining the physical setting of the site was the USGS Stockton West, California, <br /> a 7 5-Minute Topographic Map, dated 1968 and photorevised in 1987 (Figure 1, Appendix A) The map <br /> shows the site is an urban area at an elevation of approximately 16 feet above sea level with a topographic <br /> gradient of approximately seven feet per mile to the west <br /> 4 4 HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION ON THE SITE <br /> Historical use uifonnation on the site was obtained by researching Stockton city directories at the <br /> Stockton Public Library for the years 1940-2000 Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps dated 1917 with updates <br /> in 1956 located at the Stanislaus County Historical Society and Museum were also researched Table 5 <br /> summarizes the results of the research into city directories and Table 6 summarizes Sanborn Map <br /> research A 1953 Zoning Map produced by the City of Stockton Planning Commission at the Stockton <br /> Public Library revealed properties in the six-block area were zoned MI (light industrial) and C3 (central <br /> business district)in 1953 <br /> Table 5.
