Keep space around sprigWpr heads clear <br />During an Event - Until Fire Suppression System is Repaired <br />• Notify all members of the management team <br />• Notify the local fire department, Fire Protection System Provider & Alarm Service Company <br />• Notify the SHC Incident Reporting Center at 1-800-727-0121 (24 hour service) <br />Accidental Activation <br />• Escort fire department and follow instructions <br />• Notify District Facilities Manager and Fire Protection Service Provider <br />Broken Sprinkler Head <br />• Go to the Fire Sprinkler Room and close the Main Control Valve for all risers. <br />• The Main Control Valve may be inside or outside the Sprinkler Room. <br />• Ensure that the respondent has access to a key holding manager that has an alarm <br />code to the system. This process will send an alarm signal to the Fire Protection <br />System Provider. <br />• Turn off the Fire Pump (if applicable) at the control panel. <br />0 If your store does not have a Fire Pump this step can be skipped. <br />• If possible identify which riser is losing pressure. This would be the riser that supplies <br />water to the damaged sprinkler head. <br />• Close all valves on the affected riser. <br />• Open the Main Drain until all water is drained out of the affected riser. <br />• Notify Management. <br />• Notify the local fire department. <br />• Notify Fire Protection System Provider (FMG — 800-306-2541) for repairs. <br />• Notify Alarm Service Company (ADT — 800-428-7124) to put the system on test. <br />• Notify the SHC Incident Reporting Center at 1-800-727-0121 (24 hour service). <br />• Follow the additional post event procedures located in the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). <br />Maintain 24-hour Fire Watch <br />• Only trained Associates or contract security will have fire watch responsibilities <br />• Cover all affected areas, maintain and document an hourly record of inspections <br />• The watch must be maintained until the system is restored and tested <br />Isolate the Impairment <br />• Retain as much of the fire protection system in service as possible <br />• Inform Associates on each shift about the impairment <br />• Describe temporary protective measures required <br />• Distribute additional fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing equipment <br />Prohibit Hazardous Operations <br />• Suspend all operations with high risk of fire hazard <br />• No Hot work will be allowed and do not use flammable liquids <br />After an Event <br />Restored Fire Suppression System Service <br />• Authorized Fire Suppression System Service provide/Maintenance will test the system to <br />ensure that it functions properly <br />12 <br />
