0 0
Sears — Waste Oil Tank
April 13, 2009
Page 2
(10) The used oil to be stored in the tank is typically used SAE IOW -30 or 5W-30
motor oil drained from vehicles serviced in the facility. Its hazardous
characteristics are outlined in the attached 8 -page Material Safety Data Sheet
(Attachment 4).
(11) The on-site inspection of the tank revealed no structural damage, weld cracks or
damage. The tank was in good condition.
(12) The annular space was pressure tested and passed with no loss of pressure.
The tank installation appears to have been designed and fabricated adequately and in
accordance with industry codes and standards. Its installation also appears to be
adequate. I conclude that the tank has sufficient structural integrity and will be
acceptable for the transferring and storing of the used oil products typical from the
automotive services present in the facility. This is in accordance with the requirements
outlined in Title 22 CCR 66265.192(k). The service life of the tank installation would be
at least five years from the date of this certification.
I certify under penalty of law that this document and all attachments were prepared under
my direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified
personnel properly gather and evaluate the information submitted.
