ASHLAN13.
SAFETY DATA SHEET
ALL -CLIMATES SAE IOW -30
MOTOR OIL VV1290
C
Page: 5
Revision Date: 08/01/2007
Print Date: 8/7/2007
MSDS Number: RO170829
Version: 1.7
These recommendations provide general guidance for handling this product.
Personal protective equipment should be selected for individual applications and should
consider factors which affect exposure potential, such as handling practices, chemical
concentrations and ventilation. It is ultimately the responsibility of the employer to
follow regulatory guidelines established by local authorities.
Exposure Controls
Not required under normal conditions of use. However, if unusual operating
conditions exist, then provide sufficient mechanical (general and/or local exhaust)
ventilation to maintain exposure below PEL/TLV(s).
Eye Protection
No required under normal conditions of use. However; if misting or splashing
conditions exist, then safety glasses or chemical splash goggles are advised.
Skin and Body Protection
Not normally required. However, wear resistant gloves such as nitrile rubber to
prevent irritation which may result from prolonged or repeated skin contact with product.
Wear normal work clothing covering arms and legs.
Respiratory Protection
Not required under normal conditions of use. However, if oil mists are generated
above recommended PEL/TLV of 5 mg/m3, then a NIOSH -approved respirator is
advised in absence of proper environmental control. (See your industrial hygienist.)
1-2.
