Hunter St. Stockton, Ca. is being
reissued with changes to reflect a clarification in the limitations and analytical methods for total Oil
and Grease (O&G) and total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons (TRPH). The permit is effective
May 26, 2004 through May 31, 2008.
The standard testing method for the measurement of total O&G is EPA 413.1 and the standard test
method for the measurement of trph is EPA418. 1. Other approved EPA 40 CFR part 136 test methods,
for O&G and TRPH, may be used so long as they give comparable results to the standard testing
method.
No wastewater shall be discharged with a total oil and grease concentration in excess of 200 mg/1. No
wastewater shall be discharged with a total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbon concentration in
excess of 100 mg/l.
We hope that this information clarifies the City of Stockton limits for total Oil and Grease and TRPH
and how they are determined.
In addition to your wastewater discharge permit the following documents are enclosed.
Wastewater Discharge Permit Conditions
Specific Wastewater Discharge Limitations
Stockton Municipal Code
QA/QC Guidance Manual
Resource Conservation Recovery Act (information)
City Council Revenue Resolution
40 CFR 136
MARK J.
