FEB 12 '97 1 3 : 1 2 FROM VEEDER-ROOT SERV I CF 1 0 1 Tt;5990H PAGE . 009/010
File MR10623 Page l Issued: 2-14-96
D E S C R T P O N
Wireless line leak detector, Form Nos. 849490-001, -002.
: •
These retrofit kits consist of a wireless line leak sensor
that replaces the capacitor cover on the submersible pump of a
remote controlled dispensing device; a bracket that attaches to
the line leak sensor to maintain the capacitor cover; a check
valve assembly (Form No. 849490-002 only) that replaces the
submersible pump's mechanical line leak detector (LLD) or LLD
port.plug; a tank port fitting (Form No. 849490-001 only) that
installs at the line pressure test port; a sensing line that
connects the leak sensor to the check valve or tank port fitting;
and an AC interface module and WPLLD controller modules that
install in the power area of a Listed Veeder Root TLS -350 or
-350R control unit.
The wireless line leak sensor is contained within an
explosion proof housing and contains a pressure sensor that
monitors line pressure in the gasoline piping system; a flame
arrestor; and a transducer circuit board that connects to the
submersible pump power wires to transmit data to the control
unit. In the event of a leak, the control unit shuts off power
to the pumps. The leak sensor has been investigated for use in
Class I, Group D hazardous locations. The leak detection
capabilities of this device have not been investigated.
The Form No. 849490-001 is for use with F E Petro pumps and
the Form No_ 849490-002 is for use with Red Jacket pumps.
The system has been investigated for gasoline and a full
range of ethanol and methanol blends.
RATINGS:
Input Rating - 240 V ac, 50 VA.
Maximum Ambient Temperature - 4010C.
f
