MAY -26-99 09:01A He lmi 0 & Ler-nQr Inc--- P-01 "EXHIBIT B" UNDERGROUND TANK MONITORING PLAN AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN Date; January 4, 1999 Facility: DSS Engineering Contractors 655 West Clay Street Stockton, California Tank: One 20,000 -gallon diesel storage tank and one 6,000 gallon gasoline storage tank The underground storage tanks at this site are double-wall tanks manufactured by Xerxes. Underground piping is double wall. A sensor in the tank sump accomplishes monitoring of the underground suction piping. A sensor in the tank sump and automatic pump shutdown accomplishes monitoring of the underground pressure piping. The secondary, containment pipe is open to the piping manhole sump so a piping leak would run into the sump. The tanks are monitored continuously by an lncon n-ionitoring system with liquid sensors located in the double-wall tank annular spaces and in the tank manhole sump tanks. Automatic pump shutdown is included for the submersible pump. The Tncon tank monitor i, located inside the building and has a local alarm. Alarm reports are checked daily. The tank monitoring system is tested and maintained by a certified third party company on an annual basis. In the event of a leak or spill, the operator of the underground tank will notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division at (209) 468-3420, DSS will notify the following company for the fastest cleanup of the spill or leak possible: Stockton Service Station Equipment (209) 464-833:3 Stockton Service Station Equipment maintains or has access to absorbent materials, suction pumps, and other equipment for cleanup of spills, and removal of spills, and removal of leaked material from secondary spaces.
