L], <br />All employees of DSS Company should report any evidence of presumed hazardous waste. When <br />presumed hazardous waste is discovered on a jobsite or on any property of DSS Company, whether the <br />property is land or equipment, it is the responsibility of any and all employees of DSS Company to report <br />this immediately to your supervisor. <br />Examples: Operator or laborer reports to foreman. <br />Foreman reports to Superintendent or Safety Director — Bettina Mayhew. <br />Superintendent is to report to Safety Director. <br />Me NJ Mt <br />"AVINN I <br />N111,611 I WAX41 UNIn WILVA 1,1-4-03M I OLIN RAN <br />IDENTIFICATION <br />Once identification of waste has been determined it is hazardous; the safety director shall take the <br />necessary steps outlined in this program to ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws. <br />1. Presumed hazardous waste discovered <br />A. Tell Supervisor immediately. <br />B. Stop work. <br />C. Caution tape to be used to cordon off area. Continue to work in another area where there <br />is no evidence of hazardous waste. <br />2. Fore Superintendent responsibility <br />A. Contact Safety Director immediately. <br />B. Secure area of contamination with caution tape and safety barricades. <br />C. Instruct employees on safety precautions needed at this point. <br />a. Move away from site. <br />b. Determine what kind of safety equipment is required-I.E. masks, respirators, etc. <br />3. Safety Director's responsibility <br />A. Contact Project Engineer <br />B. Contact owner of property or lessee, if property not occupied by owner. <br />C. Contact Developer or Original Contractor. <br />D. Contact Environmental Science Services to come out and test suspected hazardous waste. <br />a.
