Monitoring equipment shall be maintained to be able to detect a leak at the earliest possible opportunity. Technician corrected this during the inspection by placing the sensor at the bottom of the sump. Continue to ensure that these sensors are at the lowest point of the 87 and 91 stp sumps. Repeat Violation. 17. The 91 line leak detector failed to detect a leak when tested. All line leak detectors shall be capable of detecting a 3-gallon per hour leak at 10 psi. Immediately have a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor repair or replace the failed leak detector (LG 113-x listed, if applicable) and obtain a permit within one business day from the EHD. If the failed leak detector can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the UST system may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs. 21. Liquid was observed in the 87 and 91 stp sumps. If water could enter into the secondary containment by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed and disposed of properly. Technician corrected this during the inspection by removing the liquid and placing it into the HW drum on site. Continue to ensure that upon discovery, remove this liquid, make a hazardous waste determination per Title 22 hazardous waste regulations, and manage it accordingly. Ensure that the stp sumps are maintained free of liquid. Repeat Violation. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form with a statement of how each violation was corrected, including supporting documentation, by 12-22-10.
