Fremont, Stockton
SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS
CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply)
This is an inspection report of the Monitoring Certification (MC) of the referenced facility. The MC was
originally scheduled for July 30, 2010, but the licensed contractor failed to show up for the appointment.
The inspection today is billable at the current EHD hourly rate.
The following violations are Minor -Notice to comply:
18. The 87 -octane spill container failed when tested. There is no liquid sensor in the fill sump.
-- All spill containers shall have a minimum capacity of five gallons and be capable of containing a spill
or overfill until it is detected or cleaned up.
* Immediately discontinue deposition of petroleum into this tank until the component is repaired or
replaced by a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor under permit and inspection of the EHD.
If the spill container can't be replaced immediately, there is a possibility that the UST system may be
red tagged to prevent fuel inputs.
21. Liquid was observed in the 87 -octane fill sump.
-- If water could enter into the secondary containment by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed
and disposed of properly.
* Immediately remove this liquid, make a hazardous waste determination per Title 22 hazardous waste
regulations, and manage it accordingly. Ensure that the sump is maintained free of liquid.
