EMC- With Business Inventory Reconciliation (BIR) Console works with
Gilbarco's Transac° System 1000TM pump control console to focus UST monitoring activi-
ties into business decision -malting. The EMC with BIR console provides software that
automatically:
• Creates an accurate tank calibration that considers tank distortion and tilt
• Maps UST fuel grades to dispensers
• Reconciles metered sales against physical inventory
• Documents compliance with federal, state and local requirements
Produces a number of helpful management reports
EMC'" Environmental Management Console not only meets EPA requirements, but
helps you more effectively trach expensive fuel inventories and achieve greater efficiency
in managing your operation. It's a highly flexible system that can be customized to meet
your needs today and expanded as your business grows and your equipment mix changes.
It provides comprehensive monitoring of underground tanks and lines. Capabilities
include 24 hour "no shutdown" leap detection, automatic tank gauging, inventory tracking
and reporting, line leak detection, interstitial, sump, dispenser pan, groundwater and
vapor well sensing that can be part of your fully integrated site management system.
This other top-of-the-line choice helps you:
• Buy only what you need • Avoid costly overfills
• Build the system that suits your site • Simplify leap detection using line leak
• Be in touch without being there detectors, in -tank probes, and sensors
• Manage fuel inventory more effectively • Identify problems early
In addition, optional software upgrades are available for the EMC and EMC with BIR
consoles. These options are:
• Continuous Statistical Leah Detection (CSLD) which provides no -shut -down
24-hour in -tank leak detection
• Pressure Line Leak Detection (PLLD) which enables a 0.1 precision line
leak test
• Fuel Manager which helps site owners plan efficient fuel deliveries
2. EMCT" Basic Monitoring Consoles are our "fixed feature" models. Individually designed for single wall.
or double wall application. One, two, four and eight tank models are available. The eight tank model provides for
inventory only. For the other four models, select from the feature chart for inventory, in -tank leak detection, and
interstitial and sump sensor use. They provide many of the same fuel
management functions as our Environmental Management Console.
Our lower cost, non -expandable basic models help you:
• Manage fuel inventory more effectively
• Avoid costly overfills
• Minimize cost of equipment required
• Identify problems early
3. EMC' External Sensor System achieves regulatory compli-
ance at minimal cost. If you're satisfied with your current inventory
measuring and reporting system, the External Sensor System can
provide monthly monitoring by sensing sump and double -walled tank
interstitial areas, and by sensing hydrocarbons in vapor and ground-
water wells surrounding your tanks and lines. Our EMC External
Sensor System helps you:
• Buy only what you need
• Simplify leak detection using sensors only
• Identify problems early (on-site only)
.:. barco-
4. EMC- ATS System is designed specifically for Above -Ground Tank System (ATS) applications. It provides
inventory management with one or two magnetostrictive probes and leap detection with up to six sensors.
Available also with the EMC -ATS are high/low level sensors to replace MAG probes where automatic invento-
ry isn't a requirement. These specially designed low cost sensors notify site owners of
the need to fill tanks or of an overfill condition. Built-in tank charts include most popular
Millmrco sizes from 250 to 30,000 gallons. And the EMC ATS can accommodate custom rectangu-
lar and cylindrical ATS charts.
A simple keypad and two-line liquid crystal display make menu -driven operation and pro-
p w qM gramming easy. An optional printer can provide written documentation of inventory and
leak detection measurements.
EMG' Series Benefits
Buy Only What You Need.
The EMC- with BIR and EMC
Environmental Management Consoles and
External Sensor System console feature a
modular design. This lets you choose only
the features and capacity you need now,
and add them in the future as needed.
Manage Fuel Inventory
More Effectively.
The Fuel Manager option, available only with
the EMC with BIR and EMC, tracks fuel use
to help you plan efficient deliveries and avoid
lost sales from running out of fuel. Printed
reports summarize average sales for each
day of the week and forcast how long
existing fuel inventories will last. Fuel
Manager can use an RS -232 interface
or fax line to automatically send fuel
order notifications. Programmable
warnings can also signal low product
level alarms.
Build The System That
Suits Your Site.
The EMC` with BIR and EMC Environmental
Management Consoles offer ultimate flexibili-
ty to meet your specific needs. Your Gilbarco
representative will order the individual cir-
cuit board modules with the capabilities you
need and literally build your customized sys-
tem at installation.
Be In Touch Without Being
There.
Need to receive specified data from
off-site computers or fax machines?
Communication modules can equip your
EMC with BIR and EMC Environmental
Management Consoles to automatically
dial and send up to 16 customized reports
to as many as eight different fax machines
or computers. You can specify different
reports or alarm conditions to go to each
destination.
Avoid Costly Overfills.
Your EMC system's overfill alarm
)n combines a horn with a flashing light
ert delivery drivers to a possible tank
overfill. An acknowledgment switch enables
them to reset the alarm.
Simplify Leak Detection.
Sometimes it tapes a sophisticated system
to make things simple. Your EMC console
can be built to receive input from a vari-
ety of leak detection devices, so it's all
tied together into one comprehensive sys-
tem. Depending on the EMC console you
choose, it can receive signals from some
or all of the following:
• In -tank probes (magnetostrictive) for
highly accurate volumetric tests and
precise inventory data
• Line leap detection devices
• Vapor sensors
• Groundwater monitoring devices
• Interstitial space sensors for steel or
fiberglass tanks
• Discriminating (Water vs. hydrocarbons)
interstitial monitoring devices for fiber-
glass tanks
• Discriminating or non -discriminating
sump monitoring devices
• Discriminating or non -discriminating
pan sensor devices
• High/low sensors
Your Gilbarco representative can help you
select those best suited for your needs.
Identify Problems Early.
Your EMC console can be built to activate
alarms or lights when a leak or program-
mable alarm condition is determined.
In addition to sensor and probe alarms,
other store fixtures such as entrance
warnings or air conditioning power fail-
ures can be monitored through the EMC
for on-site alarms or remote notification.
Early identification can minimize damage
and save money.
Easy To Use.
There are no complicated programming
sequences with the EMC consoles. They
feature simple prompts in English, Spanish,
or French. And product names, report
headings, and alarm condition descriptions
with up to 20 characters can be pro-
grammed on a simple keypad. Measure-
ments can be set for U.S., Imperial, or
Metric units.
