Following is a basic list of equipment that should <br />be available before installation. Always be certain that <br />appropriate tapering tools and adhesive kits are at the job <br />site. <br />NOTE: Use the proper tapering tool for tapering each size <br />of pipe. Seepage 4. <br />TOOLS, EQUIPMENTAND SUPPLIES <br />REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION <br />• Chain vise (bench mounted or portable) capable of <br />securing the pipe size used. NOTE: Use protective pads <br />such as split sections of the same size fiberglass pipe or <br />a sheet of 1/8" (3 mm) thick rubber to protect the pipe from <br />clamp or chain damage. <br />• Power or hand tapering tool (see page 4). <br />• Felt tip marking pen <br />• Pipe cutting equipment: <br />—Chop saw <br />—Fine-tooth (32 teeth/inch) hack saw <br />—Circular saw with abmsive cutting blade (carbide grit or <br />masonry blade) <br />—Sabre saw with a fine-tooth metal or carbide grit <br />blade <br />—Jigsawwith carbide grit abrasive blade <br />• Wrap around (for marking pipe), <br />T.A.B.• or strap wrenches (see pages 8-9), <br />• Shop hammer, 3-46 lbs.
