"Built -to -Code = the worst construction allowed by law"
>>> Maqsood <mali de signsbuild.com> 3/3/2009 7:49 AM >>>
Hi Ken,
On February 25, 2009, we received 3rd check comments from City of
Stockton, which we have responded yesterday (March 2, 2009) to get partial
permit for the removal of canopy, relocation of two dispensers, installation
of new canopy and trash enclosure (to install EVR tank inside trash encl.)
for dispensers which will be relocated on east of convenience store.
Yesterday, I met with City official Mr. Gary Cathcar and Gary Grinstead to
explain our response on their comments and to request to expedite the
permit. I hope in this week we will get partial permit.
We already have bid ready to award this contract to a general contractor.
Yesterday, I had meeting with owner about the progress of this work. I hope
at the end of this week we will get partial permit and next week we will
award this contract to a general contractor.
Contractor will mobilize on March 16, 2009. I will keep in touch with you
about the progress of work.
Maqsood Ali
Ph: (916) 419-1900
--- On Tue, 3/3/09, Ken Doty <kdoty_@a markthoas _com> wrote:
From: Ken Doty <kdoty@a markthomas com>
Subject: Hammer Lane Phase IIIB - Valero Gas Station
To: "Maqsood" <mali@designsbuildco_m>
Cc: "James Campero" <James.Campeso@cistoctoncaus>
Date: Tuesday, March 3, 2009, 3:26 AM
Hi Maqsood
From what I hear it sounds like things are moving along for you with the
Valero gas station. With it being March already I wanted to touch bases
with you one more time. PG&E still seems to be on schedule with their
beginning of construction scheduled for March 14th. I understand that you
are obtaining a partial permit for the removal of the canopy and pump
island. I ❑ m not sure if you will be able to meet a March 14th date to
remove the canopy and pump island. If I could get a construction schedule
from you for when you plan on getting bids from Contractors, begin work,
removal of the canopy and island and when work will be finished, I would
appreciate it. I am asking PG&E for a construction schedule as well so they
can be compared. The work may overlap but hopefully not to a point where
it is stopped. It could be close but that is what I want to check.
Thanks.
Kenneth E. Doty
Project Manager - Sacramento
3/10/2009
