Under the <br />UL test program, the pipe was <br />immersion tested in the following <br />chemicals (all at 100°F): regular <br />leaded gasoline, premium unleaded <br />gasoline, premium leaded gasoline, <br />no. 2 fuel ol, benzene, toluene, <br />ASTM reference fuel C, ASTM <br />reference fuel A, distilled water, nitric <br />acid (5% bywelght), sodium <br />carbonate and sodium bicarbonate <br />solution, sodium hydroxide (5% by <br />weight), sodium chloride solution <br />(saturated), dilute sulfuric acid <br />(pHA), and dilute sulfuric acid (20% <br />by weight). Smith Fibercast <br />recommended this pipe for methanol/ <br />gasoline blends up to 5% methanol at <br />temperatures up to 75°F.
