In addition, the rYSUM can be
programmed to conduct a 0.2 GPH or 0. i GPH test at
predetermined Unift
The EMC Ltne Leak Detector will automatically shut down a
submersible pump if a 3.0 Gbit leak is detected. The system
can also be programmed to shut down the submersible it a 0.2
GPH or 0.1 GPH leak is detected.
1. 8.0 Ganonr-Per•Hoar Line Leak Test
The EMC Line Leak Detectcs WM aftenWt to conduct 13 0
GPH line leak test at the end of each dfsp on
— not to.*xceed two completed tests per halt" hour. When
all dispenser handle switches far a pariicub+r product are in
the off position, the system deteradnes if a 8.0 GPH test can
be run or if it is' necessary to wait for Biel temperature to
stabilize.
If no waiting is required, the 3.0 GPH test is started. If a
dispenser switch is turned on during the test, the teat is
aborted until dispensing is finished. When dispensing is
a new test is started.
If a wait time Is , the systems riots a five6econd
test to verify that no catastrophic leak exists, When the wait
time is complete, the system begins the 30 GPH test.
NO "TEST PASSED" REPORT will be printed for a
sucoesstu18.0 GPH or ficve-second test.
a. Lt' leak is not detected during the 3.0 QPH test, the
system oonducts. a self test. If the self test is suoce mful,
the system conducts a pumpside pressure test. If the
pumpside pressure test is successful, the system
conducts a pumpside self test. if the system fails any of
the self tests or pumpside test, you must call a trained
technician who can v%* and correct the problem before
re -enabling the line leak detector.
b. If a 8.0 QPH or greater leak Is detected:-
1.
etected:1. Tile systems triggers its audible and visual alarms
and shuts down the submesaible pump.
2. Press the ALARWrEST button to silence the audible
alarm,
3. The display will show:
START LEAK VERIFICATION
4. Cover the dispenser handles or take other mere to
prevent them from being lifted.
Press ENTER to begin the Leak VeziSmtfon Proftilme
CLQ tet`
If a pump handle is lifted during the LVP test, the
submersible will again be shut down and the alarms
reactivated.
c Xt le" is not detected dtuiug the UP, the system
conducts a self test. If the self test is successful, the
system conducts a pumpside pressure testa If the
pumpside pressure test is successful, the system
conducts a pumpside self test. If the system fails any of.
these tests, you must calla trained technician who can
verify and correct the problem befbre re -enabling the line
leads detector.
2. Automatic 0.2 Galion -Per -Hour Line Leak Test:
The EMC will automatically attempt to run a 0.2 GPH line
teak test once every 24 hours. The test is not considered
valid until the full line leak test, self test and pumpside test
are completed. If a leak is detected, the system
automatically performs a Leak Verification Procedure test
no operator intervention is required.
If the automatic 0.2 GPH line leak test or automatic LVP test
is interrupted by a request for Mel, the system will oorxtutue
to attempt a new test or to complete the LVP test. If a leak is
confirmed, the leak alarm is triggered.
Note- The automatic 0.2 GPIs line leak test will shut
idown the submersible after a leak has been detected
only if that option has been programmed into the
system during setup. Self tests will shut down the
submersible only if the line Test has been
programmed to do so.
8. programmed 0.2 and 0.1 Callon-PerHour Line Leak Tests
The EMC can be programmed to conduct 0.2 GPH or 0.1
GPH line leak tests aMdally, monthly, weekly or daily at
selected times. All test procedures are the same as for the
Automatic 0.2 GPH Lure Leak Test except:
If the test is interrupted, the system will not attempt to
run a new test. A `Test Interrupt" report will be printed if
the PAC E4 equipped with a printer and the Warning tight
and audible aurin will be triggered.
