The Model TRS -76 Leak Detector System <br />monitors leakage on product supply lines, vapor and <br />liquid levels in secondary underground tanks and/or <br />ground wells. The system finds applications in <br />gasoline and oil storage facilities to detect these leaks <br />in time to prevent leakage or seepage of hazardous <br />liquid into the underground water table. The TRS -76 <br />system consists of the X76 Monitor, which accepts <br />inputs from a variety of sensors located in appropriate <br />positions throughout the facility. The Ronan X76 <br />Monitor can be located in the existing station house. <br />The NEMA Type 1 wall -mounted enclosure is available <br />in two sizes to hold up to four or eight control or <br />monitor modules. Based on the size of the facilities to <br />be supervised, the monitor is equipped with a number <br />of dispenser modules, annunciator modules and push- <br />button modules. The TRS -76 System is designed to <br />monitor the following. <br />.r r <br />The product line leak monitor, consisting of the <br />sensor installed in the product line and the <br />dispenser module located in the Model X76 <br />Monitor, supervises the product line to provide <br />total shutdown should a leak occur. When a leak <br />is sensed (caused by a drop in line pressure <br />below normal operating conditions), the Ronan <br />X76 Dispenser Module will provide an alarm via <br />a lighted indicator and the system's horn and <br />simultaneously shut down the product pump to <br />prevent further leakage. The system also <br />compensates for thermal contraction during <br />times of inactivity on the product line by <br />performing a leak test automatically every 45 to <br />60 minutes. <br />1.2 Secondary Containment Tank Leak Monitor <br />The secondary containment tank leak monitor <br />consists of liquid level sensors and the alarm <br />annunciator module, located in the Ronan X76 <br />Monitor. The liquid level sensor monitors the area <br />of tankage for possible spillage. Should a leak <br />occur, the product will be contained in the outer <br />shell and the Ronan X76 Alarm Annunciator <br />Module will indicate an alarm via the system's <br />horn and a lighted indicator, specifying which <br />tank has a leak. The X76 will also indicate an <br />alarm should the outer shell leak and allow <br />ground water to seep into the tank. <br />1.3 Hydrocarbon Vapor Monitor <br />The hydrocarbon vapor monitor consists of the <br />vapor sensor (available in various types related <br />to the application) and the alarm annunciator <br />module in the Ronan X76 monitor. The sensor <br />type is selected for either well or tank application <br />and the capability to sense vapors produced by <br />gasoline, diesel and/or waste oils. Also available <br />are multipurpose sensors for liquid, vapor and/or <br />product, water and vapor.
