The Model TRS -76 Leak Detector System monitors leakage on product supply lines, vapor and liquid levels in secondary underground tanks and/or ground wells. The system finds applications in gasoline and oil storage facilities to detect these leaks in time to prevent leakage or seepage of hazardous liquid into the underground water table. The TRS -76 system consists of the X76 Monitor, which accepts inputs from a variety of sensors located in appropriate positions throughout the facility. The Ronan X76 Monitor can be located in the existing station house. The NEMA Type 1 wall -mounted enclosure is available in two sizes to hold up to four or eight control or monitor modules. Based on the size of the facilities to be supervised, the monitor is equipped with a number of dispenser modules, annunciator modules and push- button modules. The TRS -76 System is designed to monitor the following. .r r The product line leak monitor, consisting of the sensor installed in the product line and the dispenser module located in the Model X76 Monitor, supervises the product line to provide total shutdown should a leak occur. When a leak is sensed (caused by a drop in line pressure below normal operating conditions), the Ronan X76 Dispenser Module will provide an alarm via a lighted indicator and the system's horn and simultaneously shut down the product pump to prevent further leakage. The system also compensates for thermal contraction during times of inactivity on the product line by performing a leak test automatically every 45 to 60 minutes. 1.2 Secondary Containment Tank Leak Monitor The secondary containment tank leak monitor consists of liquid level sensors and the alarm annunciator module, located in the Ronan X76 Monitor. The liquid level sensor monitors the area of tankage for possible spillage. Should a leak occur, the product will be contained in the outer shell and the Ronan X76 Alarm Annunciator Module will indicate an alarm via the system's horn and a lighted indicator, specifying which tank has a leak. The X76 will also indicate an alarm should the outer shell leak and allow ground water to seep into the tank. 1.3 Hydrocarbon Vapor Monitor The hydrocarbon vapor monitor consists of the vapor sensor (available in various types related to the application) and the alarm annunciator module in the Ronan X76 monitor. The sensor type is selected for either well or tank application and the capability to sense vapors produced by gasoline, diesel and/or waste oils. Also available are multipurpose sensors for liquid, vapor and/or product, water and vapor.
