Release Recording& Repor : Article 5 of the California Undergrou ' Storage Tank Regulations. <br /> Recordable Releases that must be documented on a UST monitoring report, include the following: <br /> Any release from a primary containment which is cleaned up within 8 hours after the release was detected, <br /> which does not escape the secondary containment and does not increase the hazard of fire or explosion and <br /> does not cause deterioration of the secondary containment. Note: the monitoring report shall include <br /> information required by section 2651 of the California UST regulations. <br /> Reportable Releases.that mustbe_reported tothelocal agency within 24 hours after the release has been <br /> detected or should have been detected include the following: <br /> Any unauthorized release from the primary containment which is not cleaned up within 8 hours after the <br /> release was detected, which does not escape the secondary containment and does not increase the hazard of <br /> fire or explosion and 'does not cause deterioration of the secondary containment. <br /> Any unauthorized release, which escapes from the secondary containment or from the primary containment, <br /> if no secondary containment exists. ' <br /> Discovery of releasee product at the site of the UST or surrounding area including the presence of free <br /> product, vapors in soil, basements, sewer or utility lines, and nearby surface or drinking waters. <br /> Monitoring results from a release detection method that indicate a release may have occurred unless the <br /> monitoring device is immediately repaired, re-calibrated or replaced, or additional monitoring does not <br /> confirm the initial results. <br /> Any unauthorized release, spill or overfill that occurs while the fuel is being placed in the underground tank. <br /> The spill is due to the'use of improper equipment,operator error, operator inattention or overfilling. <br /> 3/7/2007 SAS <br />
