(now RESNA Industries)
determined that the 3,000 gallon underground tank at this location
was double walled and of steel construction. It was determined
that the best method of monitoring this tank was by in -tank
monitor, Tidel GTM-1, which primary was used for inventory control.
The attached drawing indicates the location of the tank and the
original Tidel console.
PROJECT
Due to changes in the underground tank regulations, an upgraded
version of the Tidel GTM-1 must be installed to meet current
compliance requirements. RESNA proposes to remove and install a
new updated in -tank probe in the 3,000 gallon diesel tank using the
same tank opening and accessories as the existing probe for the
GTM-1. This probe, Part No. 401-009-001 will be installed in the
field, connected to Part No. 301-0327-001 liquid sensor which is to
be placed in the annular space of the double walled tank and using
the existing conduit lines the control wires will be pulled through
to the interior of the building and connected to a new Tidel EMS -
3000 Console which will replace the existing GTM-1 console.
The entire project should take a maximum of two to complete
including set-up and calibration of the new equipment by factory
trained RESNA personnel. Contel site staff electricians will
verify all connections.
This project wil require a minimum of site activity, additional
cost to CONTEL and provide a current method of full in -tank
monitoring utilizing the latest technology meeting all EPA
specifications.
TECHNICAL DATA
Enclosed you will find the appropriate technical support data for
the Tidel EMS -3000 unit. The unit will be observed each day by
CONTEL personnel on site to assure regular operating procedures.
RESNA will provide on site operator training for Contel personnel
and will be readily available for troubleshooting on an as needed
basis.
