District Health Officer San Joaquin County <br />San Joaquin County <br />Facility Name <br />Address tr ira`,_®Pt,,>r,� <br />Date of Inspection iP Inspector; & . <br />Tank(s)# <br />MONITORING ALTERNATIVE #8: Tank Gauging <br />ualifying status: Governmental agency <br />Small business <br />/Written contract for removal or replacement <br />Limited to underground storage tanks where the liquid level in the tank can be measured <br />to an accuracy of 1% of the tank volume or 50 gallons, whichever is less, when the tank <br />is half full. <br />This monitoring alternative shall include: <br />nnual precision testing on tank(s) and piping. <br />ank gauging performed as follows: <br />ank must be capable of being secured to prevent unauthorized inputs and <br />withdrawals. <br />Tank must have no inputs or withdrawals for a period of 12 hours three times <br />per week. <br />Tank must have no inputs or withdrawals for at least a 48 hour period (2 days) <br />at the end of consecutive periods lasting up to 7 days. <br />(For example: Tank in use Monday through Friday, then locked <br />over weekend). <br />iquid level measurements are taken at the beginning and end of the monitoring <br />periods ( 48 hours). <br />(For example: Level measured and recorded Friday night before locking <br />and again on Monday morning before opening.) <br />Af liquid level varies more than 1% of the tank volume or 50 gallons, which <br />ever is less, between measurements, an unauthorized release shall be assumed <br />to have occurred and shall be reported to the local agency within 24 hours, <br />as per Article 5 Sect. 2652 of the Regulations, and further evaluations shall <br />be performed to verify or disprove the variations. <br />
