12-0 Remote Communications <br />EMS information can be polled by using serial port <br />number 2 (RS -232). Parameters available for the ports are <br />programmable from the EMS keypad and include the <br />baud rate (300, 1200 and 2400), stop bits (one or two), <br />parity (odd or even) and character length (seven or eight <br />bits). Information available by remote command includes <br />the following: <br />• Time/Date <br />• Gross Product Volume <br />• Net Product Volume <br />• Level of Product In Inches <br />• Temperature of the Product <br />• Last Delivery Information <br />• Delivery History <br />• Alarm Conditions <br />• Product Grade <br />• Tank Size <br />• Start Leak Test <br />• Stop Leak Test <br />This information can be obtained from the EMS via an <br />optional Hayes compatible modem. Communication <br />specifications (protocol) are available that will define the <br />commands and response formats between the EMS and <br />the host.
